I hope the rewrite will allow him to express what he really wanted to convey. It's clear from the rest of the story and his previous work that Swery had good intentions. I'm glad that the script will be rewritten in the sections that disappointed people.
The soundtrack and voice acting were other real highlights. My stand-outs were the CLG Patti and her dad Melvin. The new additions to the cast are memorable and fit right in with the rest of the DP universe. I loved the humor, especially the cheerful optimism of York no matter the situation still one of the best characters in gaming. The True Detective approach to storytelling is effectively used to keep you interested throughout and the ending is a satisfying conclusion to both games.ĭP2 is dripping with style, from the title cards to the Jazz breaks between chapters.
Overall, I didn't think it was quite as good or unique as the original, but the story delivers.
